Certificate holders must renew their AIT credential every three years. Renewing the AIT ensures course graduates understand and can demonstrate the principles and methods to provide safe and effective fitness training for people with disabilities.

Trainers may renew their AIT by passing the current AIT Renewal Exam provided online. The
